The Jeff Wall trip was very interesting. I chose to compare the photo "Dead Troops Talk" with "Flooded Grave." These two Photographs were very interesting due to the fact that they each represented death in an ironic manner. The photograph of flooded grave shows a grave with sea creatures living within the grave. This is very out of the ordinary considering that graves are ment for dead bodies to lay in not living sea creatures. The photograph Dead Troops Talk is very similar to the flooded grave. This photograph shows soldiers that are wounded so badly that they should be dead. However, some of the soldiers are alive and they are acting crazy or rubing their head like they just banged it. Each photograph is staged outdoor and are dark and gloomy however, the soldiers or the flooded grave bring life to the photgraph.
